If there is one thing I’m good at, it’s being ungood ((technical term)) at bowling. Last time I went, the first ball I threw went not straight down the lane as it should have, but over the three lanes over to the left instead. Just ask Michelle, she was there. It was a thing that […]

Here’s a sneaky phone photo from when I went to see World’s End on Saturday. I spent most of the weekend working on projects I am not allowed to show yet, so this is all you get.
Figures it would be a billion degrees the one week I have to spend every evening in my office working on stuff. I don’t know how the cats do it, what with wearing a luxurious fur coat at all times. Montag is the sweetest little dude and follows me like a shadow, so he’s been […]
Finally made it out to Fosselman’s on Sunday, lactose intolerance be damned.
We always kinda end up at Permanent Records on a whim. Saturday was no different.
The best way to beat the current oven-like temperatures of the house is to go somewhere with fridge-like ones instead. What better place than the one where they store dead bones and thousands-of-years-old artifacts? To the museum we go!
…but I finally made it to a Dodgers game. Which coincidently was also my first baseball game. That means I’m a real Angeleno now, right?
Cats, food, lack of pants, jog trail, and more cats. EXCITING.
Sometimes I wonder what I did to be able to count so many talented people amongst my friends. When my Ma once told me I was just one lucky bastard, she may have been onto something.
Well, the Somis Nut House isn’t technically in Ojai, obviously. But we did stop on the way back from Ojai, so it counts. I do what I want, damnit. Walnuts give me rashes ((To be fair, so do pineapple and salami. And whole host of other things, like my own cat.)). So one might assume […]
Sometime last week, I suggested to Michelle we take a trip to Ojai, just so we could get out of the city for a bit. Thanks to years and years of dragging her to places at the last minute without planning, she readily agreed, and we set the course to Ojai, so we could pay […]
This time, the Secret Stairs took us through a quick jaunt through the Highland Park hillsides.
Anyone who’s met me and spent more than a half hour in my company can probably confirm this: I have a weird fascination with grocery stores. It’s time to replenish the fridge and it happens to fall on a weekend? You bet your sweet, sweet ass I’m going to be foaming at the mouth at […]
When the Tweedles were here a few weeks ago, it was to hike through the neighbourhood staircases, gawk at the local architecture, and learn some histories. Oh, and sweat. That was bonus.
Late night ramen run with Johnny and Paris at Koraku in Little Tokyo.
The Tweedles came up from their hidey-hole in Lomita for a visit a couple of weeks back. This is the only proof, and a rare sighting of the Christopher and Amber out in the wild.
…Or How I Spent Way Too Much Money To Sit On A Couch For Lunch. Other possible subtitle: Part II Of Walking On The Venice Boardwalk And Getting Annoyed At Smelly, Half-Naked People.
A few photos from my phone from the past couple of weeks (and x-posted from my vsco grid).
Michelle is teaching me to sew with a sewing machine. I’d never previously done that, I’ve always hand-stitched because machines scare me. Baby steps. Started with my Stay Home Club patch, which ended crooked the first time around (see last photo). It was straightened shortly after. Then, I made a skirt. It’s the most unflattering […]
